Yes, the Britanni are obviously beloved by many people. Beside Sassies and Romans the most "wanted" faction. One more reason to make the campaign-gameplay so perfect as possible.

But it's true. They had an interesting tribes' structure which differs in many ways from other post-roman successor states.
The AoD2 unit-roster for the Gepids was finished months ago.

in AoD part 3 we introduce a slav faction. In part 2 they are represented as mercenaries and free rebels.

Slavic history is very hard to reconstruct in the early perion ,due mainly to lack of Slavic written language .There is no mention inRoman (Greek or Latin )of Slavs before 476 and around the year 500 they are recorded to be around the area of Wallachia /Moldavia ,between the Carpathians and the Danube.Around 550 ad Roman Histrorian Procopius records numerous raids by Slavic speaking Sclavenes and Antae (these could be described as proto -Slavic )across the Danube and into the Balkan provinces .The attacks made by the Antae began in the reign of Ivstin I 518-527 .The Antae eventiually beame Roman allies .But by the 540's it was the Sclavenes who had increased the attacks both in frequency and ferocity .Jordannes writing in the 6th century also write "Within these Rivers lies Dacia,encircled by the lofty Alps as by crown .Near the left ridge,the populous race of Venethi dwell ,occupying a great expanse of land.Though their names are now dispersed among various clans and places ,yet they are cheifly called Slavenes and Antes.The abode of the Sclaveni extends from the city of Noviodunum ... to the Dniester , and northward as far as the Vistula ... The Ante ,who are the bravest of theses peoples ..are spread from the Dneister to the Dneiper ,rivers that are many days journety apart "These Veneti are mentioned inRoman sources ,living in eastern europe Tacitus (1st Century historian )places them east of the Vistula between the Fenni (Fins ) and the Carpathians .
This early period in Slavic history is very similar to that of Germanic tribes in the early part of the Millenium,Tribes compete for favours from the Empire or raid to gain wealth and prestidge amongst their own tribes .It was this gathering of armed retinues for raiding that eventually lead to establishment of larger groups and kingship .

when this mod comes out 99% of the community will play the Romans IMO, cuz every one loves justinian, after all the 6th century was a critical period in the roman history, and playing the romans in this period is very challenging cuz you have enemies everywhere .

Yes ,but if we really knew our history ,.Ostrogoths weren't a people .These people are were a loose collection of " PEOPLES " grouped for mutual protection under a powerful leader and fully Romanised by this point . Theoderic used the term Goths alot more in order to connect themselves to the Goths of Spain .The Goths that Rome attacked was just another ,fully Roman ,Latin speakimg province .Not some animal skin wearing barbarian tribe ,in some ways more Roman than some Romans
