    Default Regions mod crash

Recently I downloaded and installed the Regions mod but everytime i try to launch the game I get the message:''Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error and must now shut down''

Does anyone know how to get rid of this error?

The only reason for it at launch is a bad install. What version did you install? Did you install it with another mod? If it is version 2.4 and you have another mod installed in the same Medievall II Total War folder it will crash. Stainless Steel, this mod and others rework the animation unit files and they are not compatible.

Before installing the regionsmod i had Stainless Steel installed, maybe something went wrong there because Stainless Steel has 2 parts and I could only uninstall part 2.

After Stainless Steel I Uninstalled ME2, reinstalled it, patched it to 1.2, installed RegionsMod 2.4. Then i got the error. I also tried if it worked with patch 1.3 but that did not help either.

After you reinstalled Medieval2 to 1.2, did you see if it worked? A lot of the problems begin before the mod. I have mine patched all the way to Kingdoms 1.5 and it does absolutely nothing to the Medieval files including 1.3. About the only reason 1.3 was released was for multiplayers online.

As big as the mod is and now spread out over three pieces it could be a bad download. It's happened before. I'd try downloading it and installing it, again.
