Default Modder's Resources Volume 5 - The Armory

    DOWNLOAD

Well, I couldn't give you "A Taste of Vanilla" without also giving you some toys for your soldiers and knights to play with. This template pack includes .psd templates for all vanilla attachmentsets except aztecs, generals, and kite_crusader as these weren't necessary. Nothing has been changed from the vanilla styling so no new normal maps are necessary. Just color and go. Tip for use: Create a new layer and set it to "Linear Burn" or "Multiply" (your preference) and then just fill in with the color or pattern of your choice. As always please credit if used and found useful. Enjoy your creations and happy modding.

Sorry Mr. Lime, I already have some very beautiful women who have asked and I have accepted. But please accept these modder's tools as a consolation prize.

They are templates of the attachment sets for M2TW. They help you create your own shields for units in the vanilla style with ease.

Man, I wish had all these templates when I started modding units over a year ago! Fantastic job once again B. Ward!

...now I want to see someone release Generic Mod with all the soldiers running around wearing white carrying shields with no designs riding generic mounts!! That'd be...well, that'd be just boring

Do you have another format to put your resouces in besides .psd? I can't afford the price Adobe wants. If you would be willing to put them in .tga or something not so proprietary others would get a lot use and enjoyment out of them.

If you're using The Gimp, you should still be able to open up the .psd files without a problem. The only issue I believe is The Gimp doesn't translate the "groups" so you just have many layers not divided into groups as they would be in Photoshop. However, if you would like blanks of the templates in .tga format let me know and I will translate them all for you and post them.

I prefer Paint.Net and after I posted this I did find a Photoshop plugin for it. The ones I want to use right are the ones faction shields but in Paint.Net the layers come out stacked in one heap. If you would sort them out in .tga that would be most helpful.

    Thank you.

What do you do after you edit the files?

Excellent as usual. Combined with 'Taste of Vanilla' you've really provided us with a strong variety of infantry.
