And I think the crew should be quite large, about 20..uruks,so that they could make it to the wall
But then the walls are of no use against Isengard they will just blow holes in your wall and their is nothing you can do about it... I don't like it. I want a fair chance to kill those guys. If there are archers you would've to bring two mines or something because otherwise the mine will ruin the balance in my eyes. And will the AI use it right? Or will they screw everything up![]()
i dont think 20 guys is that much at all. first off all the units in this game have pretty much bigger unit size. so 20 guys is like cake, also lets say you have 2 untis of archers on ethir side of a gate, you have a bomb coming up one side and ladders the other, your one archer unit cant kill the bomb(hypothetically) so you have to use the other archers to focus their attack on the bomb. the bomb shouldnt just be another ladder to hardly pay attetntion to it should be:
well here comes an army to bad they can get in...ohis that a bomb,
im screwed i have to kill that asap
it shouldnt be well lets just send one unit and use my othe forces elsewhere, you see a bomb being carried you should become paranoid
I agree with Incan. And the bomb can be very expensive, so you'd only use it on the biggest/toughest fortresses. It shouldn't be something you'd use on a wooden wall...
Gameplay > tiny little things
But I like to keep my forces inside otherwise you will get slaughtered outside without even using your wall. And mayby with one cavalry unit but still they will protect the mine with their forces I think so... (but AI will just screw it up I think so no need to worry about it being protected by their army)
ehh knowing the ai they will send the bomb in by itself to attack, either way if you see a bomb you should try to bring it down with as many archers as you can, now if you only have a couple archer units well thats your own fault for not having enough foresight to hire them, if isengard is attacking you and you dont know whats in their army you better prepare for the worst
you wouldnt have to leave your wall either just have enough archers to take it down personnally i think 3-4 units shuold be plenty, and hell i would let them blowup a hole in my wall just set a death trap on the other side with archers above its a massacre, i did it vefore with scotland they would blow up one wall and i let them because then they all came rushing in and got skewered by pikes, spears and arrows. my one stack took on 8

Since dwarves don't have cavalry, they should make some infantry with increased charge bonuses or speed bonus instead of dale cavalry mercs.
Their shock troops already have powerful charges, they have higher mass. A speed bonus wouldn't make sense.
But how much will their mass be increased? Once i was playing with units mass and they sent units flying around with almost every hit, that wouldn't make sense. The other thing i think it might affect is resisting cavalry charges, but I'm not sure about that. So, why exactly will they have higher mass?
Don't know, it's KK's decision. I guess it's because they're described as a sturdy race.
Yes, and they're physically strong. With increased mass, they can "push away" weaker enemies.
Sorry, I was unclear. I meant what will change when they're given higher mass? Only know it can send units flying, but that obviously wont happen.
EDIT: OK, is it the only reason?
Increased charge impact, higher resistance to enemy charges, the ability to "push away" enemies with lower mass, which inturn makes them harder for the enemy to "push away".
I apoligize for the off topic query, but I read a 'closed' thread about Trolls in which there were some issues about Trolls not creating a 'splash' and sending units flying when they attacked, etc. If this mass data is correct, would it not also be a solution to the Troll issue?
I'm going to try it. We'll see.
You'll have to forgive me for the double post, but I tried changing mass and the trolls now send the enemes flying. Quite hilarious.
