I llike that shield allot better. i think there is someone working on some animations of a downwarc thrusting pikeman. so ideally we have the animal handler armed only with his controll device, one archer, one javallin thrower and one downward thrusting pikeman. Getting the towers hieght raised just a lil shouldnt be a problem with the quality of modders we have here. keep up the great work.

You guys just keep reveling in your cruel teasing, as I sit here and wait patiently for such work to be in my game.

Your skins look great - but if it is for Punic: TW why not put it in that forum? Seeing these and the Greek skins I will definately be playing your mod.

What happened to that nice purple-lined standard, such as the one in this pic?

    @ vopohame:
Yeah, i know. But it's not out of cruelty, you know that. The feedback we get by showing the wips help us to improve our work. In the end you'll get a more polished product. *wink*

    @ meh_cd:
    Thanks.
Some of these skins are in the PTW forum. But not all of the the work you see on this thread was specifically made for the mod.
And i've been waiting for someone with modelling skills to get interested and give us some help (and i guess most people don't check out the mods subforums as often as these).

    @ Ryder65:
I was not too happy about that standard, so i've made a new one. Remember these are all work in progress.
I can see you liked that one better...

Of course I was only joking. I am in agony about how much better these skins are than the vanilla ones rtw came up with. Ive literally downloaded every skin I could find for everything and am mixing and matching. I guess I am just plain greedy lol. I am no artist such as whats going on here and but I can sure appreciate such good work.

So far so good! But i see a trend in your work. Try to avoid using using uniform colors for your army/faction. The only army/faction that might come close to being trully uniform in apearance was Rome. I think the Foot Sacred band Wore a yellow tunic with red trim...... can remember the rest of the colors. I feelings/guess on uniforms/armour is the more elite/well paid the unit was the better the gear..... as in protection and looks. I think the elites need to be reduced in sise unit wise and given 2 hps. Anyone else have an opinion?

I've been using red for the African units clothes (Libyan/Poeni), seams to be historically correct. For what i've read The Sacred guys used to dress like you mentioned, but i'm not shure about the armour (cuirass, linothorax?).
And the foot and mounted units used the same armour?

    Fresh news:

I'll update this thread when the Carthaginians are done, and submit the skins for download.
I already have permission from spartan_warrior to release our mixed work. :happy

I'd realy could use some help with other stuff - like new CAS files, info pics and unit cards.
If some people could help me with any of that it would be great.
    Anyone?

Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Can someone help MM with proper models of elephants, so we can have cool looking tower chains/straps and most importantly, drapery that hangs off the sides of the elephant. Right now the elephant stomachs look so round, but all the cloths that historically were hanging off the back really made a big difference.

I think it's important for us to create high-detail elephant models, because there will always be very few of them on the battlefield, so they have to look as awesome, realistic, and cool as possible.
