First, let me say the trailer video I just watched is AWESOMe... I was wondering when this cool looking MOD will be released. I understand "when it's done", but I was looking at a time frame, like 2009 Q1 Keep up the great work, you guy's rock!

We are not at a point where any time frame would be a realistic assessment of a release at all. It would be guesswork entirely. However I can say with some confidence that you won't be seeing it 2009 Q1 at all.

As in most volunteer projects, it's impossible to say how many people will be working on the mod next month, let alone 6 months from hence. So even if the team could say how much work needed to be done, they couldn't tell how much work was going to be put in at that time. And off course, people will complain if the team mentions a date and isn't finished by then, even if it was clearly stated that it was an estimate.

Or, could it be they are putting out there that it will be a long time, while secretly they are planning to have it out 1st Quarter of 2009? Makes for a better surprise that way!

Besides, by 2010 we'll be dead from mass rioting due to the next great depression courtesy of our elected leaders in both parties, but that will be too far a field. I vote early 2009.

EB 1 started in 2003...before RTW was even released and IIRC the first open beta came around 1st q 2006....so i give you fall 2010 at earliest....

EB project started before releasing RTW but it was just a research at the start. of course EB II won't take time to do that huge research again.

The tutorial will be released sometime before EBII. And EBII will be released sometime after the tutorial.
