    hi all

i've just managed to "merge" signifier and vexiliarius into one unit - roman standard bearer (aka signifier). with hamsha we will decide about the apearance of other sugnifiers. each legion will have his own.

Signifier - Legio XXII - Deiotariana (for julii)

i'm trying to cure myself. i'll e back when signifiers for camilian and marian era will be ready. and those eagles and eaglebearers...

did you knew that romans had a cult of their military signs, emblems and banners? they were really religious people...

yes the pole is long, but game engine allows us only to use one standard bearer. romans used standard bearers and signum bearers. there were also guys that bear images of emperor and stuff. i had to do it this way. 2 in one

i meant that romans worship almost everything
and btw. they crucified jesus that's true. they wanted to have peace in the provice and another young and very popular sect was something that they couldn't allow to spread.
according to matthew, a jewish mob cried, "his blood be on us and on our children" while demanding the death of jesus. so i think they crucified him too . in the eyes of common people and rulers of the ancinent judea he deserved it as heretic and politically incorect person. oh well... now he is worshiped

And what are you up to hamsha I bet its going to be something great.
A little screen showing RotN, Of course it awaits your magic touchagain on 1.5. Also thanks friend prince. Haer he is great. by the way, I need to try limit of roman unit size. I thought we could maybe get a max of 243-244 in the legion. allowing for 240 soldiers and 3 to 4 extra's for officer, standard bearer, signi ect.okay I have set preference file to unit size 244.
we cannot of course have more than the number 60 on the exprt_descr_units file. But the game does allow for some extra to that for our officers ect. Triarii have 240 soldiers + 1 officer + 1 standard bearer.

    @ Mathais

tjank you mathais. hamsha will surely produce many wonders . we have all roman units done (with tweaks) and all "skeletons" for new textures are prepeared. thay are waiting for touch of her skillful hand.

roman cavalry: general bodyguard cavalry - julii (caesar's germanic cavalry bodyguards?)

i hope that "artistic license" will do this time

    @ magpie

sounds very good to me we have all of them ready, so we can slowly put them into our mod

    You can have 240 + 3, not 4 officers (243 is max.).
Nice units Haer, but they look like Ferres and you said that you´ll not use them. Or Im wrong?

    @ pacco

sorry for slow postinh. it took me some time before i've installed RS 1.5b again. and compared both files. it took me some time to find the one similar also. i know FERRES models by heart. they always were something exclusive.

you probably mean the helmet it's similar i know.
http://www.romancoins.info/MilitaryE...l#Heddernheim1 - here are more of them. they were my base. probably both of us saw them on this site

indeed i saw your unit in the game. it's great but diferent than mine. both models have vanilla stuff as base, so i will show the added parts:

    FERRES . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

    MINE..............................................................................

    much lighter... far earlier

it's far heavier than mine. also more detailed. i am not so capable and i think i can do such things as flat textures i have no desire to use very heavy models.

but most of it's structure is very similar. i won't deny
