    i was going to answer that question with models, but i am too sleepy to make any renders
    yes we will have named legions with advanced diferences in their apearance

    Roma Surrectum used that idea on a large scale and that was the reason why i loved this mod. i think everyone likes this idea, so we decided to have 42 historical legions.



    they wil be chronologically:

    VII, later known as Claudia Pia Fidelis
    VIII, later known as Augusta
    VIIII, later known as Hispana (disappears 161?)
    X Equestris, later known as Gemina
    XI, later known as Claudia Pia Fidelis
    XII, later known as Fulminata

    XIV, later known as Gemina (destroyed 54 by Ambiorix and immediately reconstituted)

    Sorry for my longing absence. I was stopped by higher forces.
    I see that the thread is going well . Very nice units Haer. I like new battlefields Magpie. Very good work. And of course our pearl and her work . ery good signatures hamsha.

    I'm working still on our "suprise scripts" and Faction Descriptions.

    We gonna need some good 2D art to start showing the stuff Up to you hamsha

    i'm glad you're back thanx. i've worked really hard to make them. as you saw RS team helped us a little here

    i'm glad you like them they are separate model parts and through the holes where the eyes and mouth are you can see the face of signifier . it is also "tweaked"

    A small suggestion Haer.....can you increase the ambient lighting on 3ds (hit 8 then move the slider all the way down to white) so we can see the details of your stuff more clearly? It also simulates more closely what the actual in game lighting will be like.

    42 different legions?! ThatŽs a lot! Three Roman factions + 42 ....huuhh - true, thatŽll kill you!
    Believe me, I know! WeŽll have one Roman faction in RS 2.0, and I made 97 different shields (just talking about shields) for their units (we use all of them).

    Good luck, you will need it!

    i see no problem to do so, but i thought they will look more like my and hamsha's 2D when i'll keep them this way . our game lighting is changed. it's far from overburning and it lays delicate darkness when we need to . also we are making those blinks of light on many armor parts to increase our lighting effects

    by th way i've used the same vexilium model as you do in RS 1.5 to check out how texture will look like. we don't have our own yet, but don't worry, we won't use yours. we have diferent design which will use alpha tweaks. that will give us many different "models" for most of our legions

    @ pacco

    don't worry pacco. we are 2 skinners - hamsha and i, and we have most of them ready. i was interested in modding long time ago and i still have most of my designs . when i'll find time i'll show you Roma Surrectum 1.5b screens reskinned for my own use

    i always had such crazy ambitions. you won't be suprised if i'll tell yu that each unit has diferent face also . well maybe not every one of them, 'cause few new still have faces frome their "ancestors" (like hasti which are only multiplied and they wait 'till hamsha takes care of them

    we are very quich in making such things so don't worry. this and hamsha's abilities makes me very confident

    okay, i've made one vexilium on a pike for RotN this is still beta. i'm working on it still to have one model with diferent apearances with alpha channel tweaks



    i saw many reconstructions. i was thinking about adding figurine on the top of each which could be the symbol of etire legion (capricorn for example) but i need to figure how to do it to have better apearance than with using a flat, square model board to present it.

    i like the idea with that square board in the lowest part. i'm adding legion name and founders name to each on it. i'm suprised it's visible in game(!). also each will have founders bust on the top in the round plate

    nice model there H your work is amazing, the stuff you guys show is like a sudden rush to people in here its like everyones excited and anticipating the release of ROTN when some of your team members work shows up in here

    Hey guys, sorry for my long absence. I just been real busy but, tomorrow I have some time and if I do get the chance to finish typing out all my unit descriptions, I will send it to you all or what ever I get done.
