The FTP download is the only one I am aware of. It's slow but it works.

Says it's a review copy so I didn't download it. I think the retail version will be different. I don't want to start a new game now and have to start another when the retail is not save compatible.

It says version 1.0... no beta or anything... so I'd suspect it's the final version. Besides, Paradox would have needed the final version several weeks before release in order to make the disks. And this version was uploaded on August 13 - just over a month ago.

Well, you can't play it without the serial code. So only people who have it are those who already paid Armagan, usually months ago when the game was nowhere near 1.0.

Even if he's mad, he probably was advised not to express it since lawbreakers are his hardened customers.

Poor girls from Paradox PR team though. They are certain to have some Johan+Armagan trouble now. :-)

My understanding was that the "leak" was a kind of look-the-other-way thing for the fans on the forums, any attempt to popularize it or post direct links/rehosts etc. gets you banned, but at the same time posts with very obvious hints and so on are tolerated. I think the original gate has been closed by now though.

I just hope that it becomes available "directly" to TW's existing customers today though, if not than my forebearance in not using the leak would seem foolish...

They could allow people to update to 1.0 already. We've already paid for the game after all. And they have 1.0 on their server untouched since August. So why the hell we're forced to wait? :-)

I think the leak cannot be tolerated on the official website because of a publishing agreement with paradox. They allowed the hints because it was it was something they can probably get away with without violating the agreement.
