we are going to win again this year

although all the main teams have improved I feel that Juve is still on the edge, seeing this first 2 weeks (Supercoppa final and the first two days of Serie A).

the only team that can be really a contender to them is Napoli; they have now a more experienced trainer (at least with international competitions) and the fact that they sold Cavani will make them stronger, not weaker (just look at Hamsik, now that he is free of playing as he prefers as offensive centerfield is scoring much more!), because finally they are not obliged anymore to develop their play-stile around one single player; furthermore they are the most hungry for trophies

Inter is still a construction in progress, but I doubt they will be successfull in short as the societary situation is very dark now
Milan changed some key players (Boateng, he won the match against PSV by himself alone) and probably loose more (El Sharawi); Balotelli is an ace, but he is not trustable in the long term.

Rome and Lazio have to work more on building up the right mentality and perhaps they should try to change less players and trainers during the years...

Going to accept bets, what do you think guys ?

I agree Juve will win. A new era has dawned. A real nice situation compared to all the the past years.

There is barely anything to discuss. Juve already had the best team, and is the only club that manages to strengthen its squad in a time where all italian clubs have to cut. And juve has every year more than its fair share of luck with the refs....

Sure, without the refs thy would be champions 90% certain, but its hardly a new era

New stadium, among all giving a huge edge. Of course winning the league twice is a factor.
Juventus play as a team, but also where individualism shines. Many players in positive trends and one the rise.

Dont forget the figc letting off their players and coach.

Explain that to J-F Gillet, who got a 3y ban for manipulating a match where he was on he bench...The only thing he did wrong was playing for the wrong turin club at the time of the court case.

Serie A is 2nd class now, if even players like Boateng move to ing schalke. A team dominating the competition, (and getting some help along the way), is the worst thing to happen to it, and they brought it upon themselves. If Milan won two years ago (like they should have if the linesman werent blind), Ibra and Thiago Silva might have stayed, and you wouldnt have a competition where its already decided in februari

that's the problem man, people tends to repeat what they heard without checking on their own

let's see how many penalties they had, for instance (favourable/against)

    2011/2012
    Juventus 4/3
    Milan 10/3
    Napoli 9/1
    Inter 11/11

    2012/2013
    Juventus 11/5
    Milan 11/6
    Napoli 11/2
    Inter 5/7

you can check yellow and red cards and will see that numbers are almost equal.

this is just an example, but actually, there is no real evidence Juventus is favoured by the refs, at any rate not more than any other of the top teams. Furthermore, if some form of pressure is put over Juventus (i.e. Conte non being able to sit on the bench for months) everything is fine, but on the other hand we have people actually sued and under investigation for seriuos responsibilities with illegal betting that are STILL playing...

The only difference is that, when it happens with Juve, everybody is shouting to the scandal, if happens to the others it's simply a mistake, but numbers do not lie.

Look, I'm not a blind supporter or fan, I know very well what happened in the past, but this is over, 100%, and if somebody says it is not so it is only because for the average italian (sport press people included) it is better to say that the other is a bandit instead of admitting that he is better than you.

with all the due honesty I don't see any shadow over Juventus during the last two Serie A championships

Sorry for my outburst, but I've had enough of this

Some people never change, always continue to pour . It's pretty tiresome.
Almost everywhere I read there's this huge grudge against Juventus still.

Of course, there's our destiny to be hated, if're not hated we don't matter and more frankly, not winning.
    Similar words from coach Conte.

sure, ignore the previous comment abou the belgian goalkeeper who was banned for nothing while hs collagues on the other side of town run free....If you're saying there isnt a shadow over the last two championship, you're blind, cause you obviously forgot the milan-juve match that decided the title. Or the little help they got against catania last year (a goal given and a valid goal dissallowed, really?). or the help against inter that surprisingly still made them lose. Nope, not a shadow at all... Equally blind if you dont see the difference between an actual suspension which stops you from doing your job, and not being with your team for a few hours in the week. Sure Juve is better, but they didnt do it do it the fair way. So thinking that its all in the past is wrong. Its the past where there players and coach havent been punished adequatly for their wrongdoings that gave them the position they have today. Then its not difficult you made enemies. Serie A was already on a downward spiral, but who would want to come anyway if you are not only disadvantaged on the field, but also the green table...

well, we are not clean, but this is not only Juve, this is the whole italian football movement. that's what I tried to explain above; you only noticed what happens around Juve, because Juve is always under the light, but as a matter of fact all the major football teams have been helped here and there. Look at what happened to Milan the last 4-5 turns of Serie A last year, when they were in need of points to close at the 3rd place.. It's not a justification, but if you don't like our way you shouldn't follow Italian football, if you do, you should not complain about one team (or another), that's my point of view

sorry I skept this reply, I saw it only now, my bad

anyway, if Milan sold is because they need money, like any other football team in Italy nowadays; the truth is that we don't have the money to compete with the best teams in europe (and it's our fault of course).

now, if you want to blame Juve for all the problems of the italian football, do it if you wish, but it's far from being true and it's really funny man ; actually juventus is the only football team who has went on the right path to become a lighter (in the terms of expenses), more profitable team, trying to respect Fifa financial fair play even before they imposed it, hoping to copy much from the best teams around.

    anyway, de gustibus ..

Dude, nobody could stand Boateng anymore. He got a great first season, true, but that was 3 years ago.
The last 2 seasons he played 1 great match out of 10, and the remaining were absolute . He went from being a fan favourite to be the most hated among supporters, and even the team couldn't stand him anymore. He quickly got dubbed as worst n.10 in the history of the club and an insult to past greatness. Milan wanted to get rid of him at a decent price asap, he understood he wasn't welcome and asked to quit himself. The entire summer was newspapers laughing at the fact no team wanted him, then he got a good game in the UCL qualifiers and Schalke got him. Thank ing god. If we had gotten rid of Robinho too it would have been a major success, but that didn't work. Too bad we signed useless and overpriced Matri instead of a good defender.

Since this thread seems to be as dead as Berlusconi without Viagra, I might as well post something.

Any thoughts on the last couple of months in italian football?

Allegri does not have much to work with in the first place?
Many experienced players left the past years without being replaced properly, what can one expect really?

I see the anti Juve fanboys are still busy at these days!!!
    So be busy!!!
    Let me Explain something mates:
We won the Cups at the stadiums not in the Court Houses!!!!
But some body just steal our cups in the courts!!!!!
And .... for somebody who said something about linesman of the AC milan - Juventus game:Be honest please!!
If you were not blind matri scored a goal at that particular game but that was rejected too!!!
So keep saying your nonsenses and we will keep gathering the cups in the filed!
