Thread: Mixed up voice types

    Default Mixed up voice types

I tried to install the Xenophonia mod into my Total War Eras mod to add more voice types. What I ended up with was an 'audio.dat', 'audio.idx', 'events.dat', and 'events.idx' that play all the M2TW sounds in a mod folder without any of the vanilla Music or Voice files being in this mod folder. However all the voice types are wrong, so I had to reorder the 'descr_sm_factions.txt' to get them more or less correct.

Is there any mod that can make the 'audio.dat', 'audio.idx', 'events.dat', and 'events.idx' work in a mod folder without any of the Music or Voice files but won't put the voices in the wrong order? Alternatively is there any way I can edit these files to put the voices in the right order?

Also how do I assign pre-battle speaches to a faction?

EDIT: never mind, I figured out that if you rebuilt the 'audio.dat', 'audio.idx', 'events.dat', and 'events.idx' with all the Music and Voice files present they'd work fine. I also found the prebattles speaches in the export_descr_sounds_prebattle.txt file.

Default Re: Mixed up voice types

I may have a similar problem.
I dont know why (it used to work before), but the voice types in my mod are now completely mixed up. Milan speeks arabic (which results in very weird situations like a princes with a manly voice...), the Turks have a northern european accent etc. So far the only faction with the right accent was by coincidence the player faction venice.

Maybe this could be fixed in the same way, but what do you mean with "rebuilt the 'audio.dat', 'audio.idx', 'events.dat', and 'events.idx'" exactly?
