I think he means like Venice and Sicily would actually be called

The Most Serene Republic of Venice
The Kingdom of Sicily and Sardinia

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't they actually be:

    La Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia

    and

Il Regno di Sicilia e la Sardegna

    ???

I think you'll find it's considerably more than one.

Egypt, for example, should be called الدولة الفاطمية
    Or al-Fātimiyyūn
    Or Fatimid Islamic Caliphate

The Byzantine Empireshould be called Βασιλεία τῶν Ῥωμαίων or Basileía tōn Rhomaíōn (Imperium Romarorum (it's Latin name) would probably do well enough, TBH)

    Hungary should be called
    Magyar Királyság

As for Spain, well, in 1080 there was no such thing. Iberia was fragmented into several parts. Here's a map for the uninitiated:

The list can go on, but it won't. By now you probably get the idea.

Very nice effort to learn this language. I have also learned some words to communicate in this language with my friends.
