    Default ref video editing

i have clips saved with the moviecam and fraps and need to trim them so that i can upload.
does anyone know of any free video editing software out there that i can use to trim clips in a format that does not compromise quality?
    thanks

Windows movie maker but you'll lose some quality when you compress its unavoidable. TMPGenc is ok as well.

Also when you save the higher bitrate options will produce better quality but with a larger file size. Video for lan is good for local playback, but everyone will find it annoying when they try to watch your video on youtube and it chews bandwidth. Its also hardly considerate for slow internet users like dial up. I usaly use video for broadband 512k as its a nice balance between quailty and file size.
