extending the date

Im not looking for a mod exactly, so is there a way to extend the end date for EU3 without a mod? Is there some txt folder that says when the game ends?

Yeah, in the "Common" folder and then look in the "defines" file. Just change the end date to the year you want. You also have to add new tech levels. So in the "Common" folder look for the "technologies" and add a new level to each file. Here's an example, lets say you want to extent the game to 1900, this is what you put into the tech files

technology = { id = 73 average_year = 1900 }
