Did you consider adding Obodrites faction? They would fill the left bottom corner and bring nice variety (the only slavic faction on the list). I could provide you suitable info and even some reference pictures for Obodrites warriors. Historicaly Obodrites were very powerfull in early medieval era, they sucesfuly raided and plundered Saxony, Denmark and Norway (famous invasion on Konghelle). Obodrite ships took part in invasion on british isles. They had strong both fleet and ground army.

These units were just ready, but I made some serious changes on all

Meanwhile the settlement and region names are being corrected.
Gator is working on the AOR, I guess (and so does Socal).

Next week probably there will be an irish or celtic prewiev from the
    whole unit list.

I'm willing to help you if you need research on the Irish factions (their nobles were Arras, not Ridire, and the knights were called Márcaigh). I can also name and place the settlements for the Irish factions too.
That's true, and it's probably even more latter, but I haven't found
any correct symbol I could use. (It's the same with Munster.)
Otherwise they didn't use a symbol in the today meaning of it.
There's only a few sources unfortunately...

Can you suggest maybe somthing else? I would consider it.

The ridire is not a infantry unit for me, it's cavalry.
(I knew that ridire is rider.)

There will be Arras noble in my mod also, the best quality unit of the irish.

I would show you the irish unit list if you're interested.
You could have a look with the eyes of a professional.

    Sorry Silesian_Noble,
We already closed the number of the factions in this phase, probably
    in the next step...

... but how did the celtic helmets look like in the 8-9-10 century?

As far as I'm aware, much like everyone else's. They didn't have the bands that cover the eyes, though, as in many Norse helms. Normally slightly conical and often made of bronze or leather. Welsh helms would be more Roman-influenced than any others.

As for Connaght, the Arthurian Total War team used a silver hare leaping over a scimitar, perhaps you could use that?

What I meant about Ridire, is that it wasn't used by the Irish until after the Norse invasions.

I'm no professional (yet), I just have a great deal of interest in this stuff and would like to help as best I can. I would like to have a look at your lists and make some suggestions, if you wish.

Don't you have source for the celtic or irish helmet? Picture or something?

But how much more the hare leaping is historically correct? Is it sure that it was used around 860? Isn't it better to type it, the game lasts after 1000...

I'm not sure where the ATW team got it from. All I know is that Gaelic armies used hundreds of banners and symbols, so you could almost make up just about anything.

As for the Irish helmet, I'm basing it on ATW and illustrations and reliefs I've seen from about 900 - 1100 AD.

ahnn this might be slightly off-topic, but why doesn't The Last Kingdom have it's own forum? why is it joined with ornamentum?

and 1 more curiosity: Where did you take the name from? (because there's a book named like this, about the danish invasion on england, from bernard cornwell, and so on...)

This looks like a great mod, good work. The Britannia part of kingdoms is my favorite but I always felt it was too small/too few factions so I can't wait for this mod.
