1. Both GrandViz (currently busy with Broken Crescent AI) and xeryx (over XAI - core renovation project) know the stuff, maybe PM them and ask for any kind of assistance or advice. Lusted makes something on his own too(basically enhancing Lands to Conquer experience, but there are mods that use/used his battle and campaign AI's)

xeryx basically develops a BATTLE AI MOD (campaign mod has been halted down as for now if I understand it right) that can be then implemented to other mods, thing is, the one adjusting his AI for your mod would need to have something more than basic understanding what goes on here, and xeryx would want that guy's report on how things are going before letting him to proudly announce that XX mod uses battle XAI version 3.xx (xeryx said in one thread that he makes his mod out for personal use and won't allow implemention in other mods unless his battle AI works perfectly on them). Otherwise, his battle AI so far is pure gold and challenging experience 100% compatible with any Kingdoms-based mod. A side info - the guy(or lad ;d) should also have a graps on adjusting projectiles and unit stats in EDU, because it gives best results if one man understands battle AI, so he/she of course knows what to change in units stats(and projectiles are all about making missile units effective).
As for GrandViZ it's pretty obvious - his changes are not very drastic but he certainly knows the stuff. Feel free to PM him
Lusted develops his own battle AI too (it's even pretty good ... even if it feels too "vanilla"), but I found spearmen to behave too idle in his recent AI. I don't recomment him but it's up to you
2. I hope you find someone enthusiastic(and knowledgeable) enough to get things running
3. Maybe Chimaeira will release Total Combat (it changes animations and adds other stuff) for others mods, currently it's designed to work with SS 6.0 and SS 6.1
