    Default Settlements in Sicily.

I was just wondering(roughly)how many settlements will be present on Sicily, seeing as it will have no less than 3 factions(Sicels,Syracusans and Carthaginians)

Due to the excellent geographical position of Sicily,as whomever controlled the western end controlled trade from the east to western Africa and Gaul and Iberia while the North Eastern tip which controlled trade along the Tyrhhenian. The Greeks and Carthaginians saw it as the perfect area for a colony s the natives were considered savages and were easily oppressed or expelled from their land(at least in comparison to the natives of anatolia,Gaul,Africa and southern Italy) .

Some of the settlements i think should be included(from West to East)are Lilybaeum,Acragas,Gela,Enna,Hybla Geratis,Syracuse,Taurmina and of course Messana.

Hmm let's see... I think around 20 or so. Sicily is often neglected in mods... heck even Italy is neglected in global/regional mods. But in truth Sicily is very important, and there's lots of excitement on it. Heck, even in the medieval times, friggin vikings came all the way from the North and just conquered it, then some Moors bam and conquered it, but no one ever stoops down to depicting it. Similarly there was tons of fun just in Sicily alone in our time, and you bet we'll depict it.

home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."

Wasn't Sicily the granary of Italy? So it should be pretty important, isn't it?

Well at this time, Sicily was the battleground between the Greeks and the Carthaginians. It was lateron that the Romans won dominance over it.
