Please give us a music mod for Stainless Steel!

This is a plea to the mod-makers out there, please give us a music mod that works with Stainless Steel! I have found two links to music mods on this forum, and neither of them work, as they have both been removed.

Therefore there is no music mod available for SS, as far as I am aware. Yet I know I am not alone in wanting one. The music for M2TW, especially the 'south european' factions like Byzantium and Spain, is unbearably repetitive, lacking in variation - it's the same track playing over and over - and totally lacking in atmosphere and immersion.

Stainless Steel could be so much better with a good music mod. Please, someone out there, put us out of our misery and give us a mod to put the atmosphere and fun back into M2TW!

There is, but in 1.2 I have removed some and structured the music more, since previously it was just all together.

For example, music with piano's in, is gone as it doesn't suit the medieval era - same with other music that didn't suit the era at all =P

However all the epic music is still in, which really brings you into the game more - and gives you a feel of pure epicness (the kind of music in films which sends shivers down your spine) =]

There are so many varietys of music now you'll hear on the campaign and battle map and it is unlikley you'll hear the same score twice ^^

(not naming anything because of the bannage)

It's there but I'd advise not to download the current version as it's quite buggy =/

1.2 will be out soon, just need to upload.

The optional files are BYG III and RR. You can find SSTC in this forum.

I can give you the list of what you should install and in what order, if you would like to do it.

SSTC adds banners and officers to units, which is great.
RR/RC restricts the training times according to type of unit in campaign and introduces a realistic system, with different unit types and classes.

Here goes the install order...

1. Install SS 6.0 part 1 and 2
2. Install SS 6.1 with RR checked.
3. Install SSTC. Don't check for the RAJ option.
4. Patch SSTC to 1.2. Don't check for the RAJ option.
5. Pack up the fix for RR and SSTC.
6. Patch the hotfix for SSTC. Don't check for the RAJ option.
7. Patch the other fix for SSTC(To remove bad Horse anims).
8. Install PP part 1 and 2.
9. Install the 1.2 patch for PP, which hasn't been uploaded yet.

10. Remove the music.idx, music.dat, events.idx and events.dat files from the Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data\sounds folder.
11. Start up PP and let it load it's music files(Which may take a while).

Then you might get a graphical error - no worries, just restart the game again.

Is there a way to get just the music files, since I do not play with the SS submods? Just for plain SS with patch.

New and more dramatic music is definitely needed after all these months of playing.
