Here is a question, since people today are so afraid of nukes, and nations acquiring nuclear weapons lets get some perspective on what people think is a better way to die
Going down fighting and not cowering helplessly as a horrific weapon comes over head to decimate you, your family, your friends, you home, your city etc.

Nuke, anyhting biological etc is just going to be a painfully horrible death
at least with a nuke as long as your in the blast radius that is, it will be a quick death. Granted though, if you somehow survive it, or your not near the blast radius, you will be affected by radiation, which is a tad bit painful, though much better being nuked.

Any other way is a better way, since posterity can't survive in a place that has been irradiated by a nuke.
A comet instantly obliterating all life.
I would like to be able to watch it. In just a blink of the eye..gone.
Everything mankind has created. Everything we've done. Every philosophy, idea, invention. Every moment of history, every act of heroism or terrorism. Every life and every memory. Everything.
Gone in an instant.
How poetic.

what if you go down from someone raping your wife or child then shooting you in the head in the chaos of war, I'd much rather be nuked and not even feel it. You don't have to cower, its not like it would help against a nuke anyway, you could just stand there and shake your fists at it and feel brave
What a lovely thread
I'd rather die in conflict cuz if you die fighting you're a hero and if you die in nuke explosion you're a victim.
But in a conventional war there is at least some hope of you surviving or winning- but with a nuke you are all dead, even if you survive, you would be in a nuclear wasteland and would probably succumb to radiation poisoning and die slowly and horribly. Plus, you can't really feel brave against a nuke.what if you go down from someone raping your wife or child then shooting you in the head in the chaos of war, I'd much rather be nuked and not even feel it. I chose dying in a long drawn out conflict.
The reason being, I see perceptions of nuclear explosions on television where people are just sitting, waiting to die as the nuclear warheads go off all around them. I would much rather die facing my enemy and be granted the opportunity to do my best to take down as many of them as I can before they take me down. There's nothing glorious about it, but it's a principal of fact that true patriots, if they believe in their Country, will die for it rather then let it be taken over. That's my view of it anyways. If my Country required me and other citizens to take up arms and defend our country against any and all enemies, I would do so without a minute's thought. (In the event we're ever invaded like Russia invaded Georgia for a recent example, regardless if I end up a statistic, I will feel proud dying for my Country in the face of tyranny).
EDIT: While blasting When I'm Gone by Tupac and Eminem(The remix) on my IPOD.
Er, peacefully? In my sleep?
Well out of the poll options I'd rather get shot. In the head or heart. Quick and easy.

Long drawn out conflict. If I die or not, at least me and my peoples fought for something, and weren't simply obliterated in a cataclysmic event.
In a long drawn out conflict that ravages the nation because its something you yourself can personally influence the outcome of. + you can take out as many of the other bastards as you can, then die. Its glorious.![]()
Nukes won't kill everyone, and who's left suffer from radiation and illness for years.
