Very cool images AD, do you have a rough idea, info, of how that black finish on your cuirassiers' armour was obtained, though what process?

Practically all men fighting in the English civil wars painted their amour black to prevent it from rusting. Some men like the chap above chose to have certain areas gilded.

Take it for what it's worth, but 1066:Conquest has a quite similar map, and it looks to be finished, maybe they can help you on one aspect and speed up the whole mod ...

Very nice unit's, and finally someone makes a mod around the english civil war.

Anyways i think Ireland and others should play minor roles in this mod. Battle of Rathmines ect was pretty significant.

1066 is looking excellent, but I dont think their map can help speed up my mod. For king or country's map is 2 to 3 times bigger than the map in 1066, and also I finished making the map about a week ago. Once I've finished with a lot of the strat map models, banners, textures and fixes, i'll work on a preview.

It was, but it was also in Ireland, and it happened 8 months after Charles I was executed, outside both the map area and time-frame of the mod. Generally the war in Ireland is outside the scope of this mod which aims to simulate the war in England.

black amour finish was made as oil is rubbed on hot metal surface... similar to today blueing of the handguns.

those pistoleros are great. Been on the business trip for 3 dys and half of the mod is already finished
