Thread: How's the Gaius Marius one going?

Default How's the Gaius Marius one going?

Sorry for asking (lol) but I heard something a while back in some obscure post mentioning a new FRRE mod covering the civil war between the Optimates and Populares. Is this unbased rumor or is it true? If the latter, I am very excited! The Marian period has always interested me.

    Game of the Fates
Mod of the week on hold -- I've played nearly every RTW mod out there.
BOYCOTT THE USE OF SMILEYS! (Okay, just once)
Antiochos VII...last true scion of the Seleucid dynasty...rest in peace, son of Hellas.
I've returned--please forgive my long absence.

It is quite correct. Only my involvement in other projects has delayed the "First Man in Rome" mod, starting with a campaign focused in Marius.

After the release of the FRRE CD, provided that I end Res Gestae and my part in 300 WOS, I expect to start the project.

How many more mods are you guys planning? I'm dying for someone to make an Augustan era one (I've been reading I, Claudius )... or one during Trajan's reign.

    same here.
    Hail Caesar Marcus Aurelius!

And while we are at it, could the modding team add Maximus Decimus Meridius as a general, at Marcus Aurelius' time?

That was such a great movie. There hasn't been a movie about Romans since.

Well, he's already in the game actually..in a way. If you examine the strat map roman general skins, you'll find that they have Russel Crowe's face. No joke, it's true!
