    everyone send passwords
all battles auto resolved for fairness

BTW i think we need one more eastern faction to balance game out

    Pass word sent.

I would just say that Auto Resolve can be come a little boring I prefer to fight my own battles when I have to it`s more fun.,

tbh, I'd rather do auto-resolve. IMO, it's a bit unfair on whoever doesn't get to play as their own faction in defending battles. I'm guessing most of us here are pretty decent battle commanders so the other person's army would just get massacred most times, right?

i suppose you could always put it up to vh to (kind of) combat this, but then thats just screwing over the people who would rather auto-resolve, and i think even then its still hard for it to be balanced.

    password sent btw

I do see your point, but my argument would be that if you are awear that battles will be fought by human opanents then you will develop a better stratergey to make shore your not taken unawear, use of spy's ect,
and it would mean that you don't get to battle at all even against the AI players,

    :hmmm:

hmm... but then surely it would be a bit strange, you know, constantly making sure that you are the attacking faction, as then you would have a clear advantage. i'm still thinking it would be unbalanced. auto-resolve is the best way to make sure that on the battle side of things nobody finds themselves and their armies completely screwed over.

i mean, for example, imagine that a huge faction decides to use their power to their advantage to go and own one of the smaller factions. they could send a nice big army, with siege equipment, and easily take whatever settlement they wanted without warning, no matter how well it was garrisoned or how strong the defences were. usually in a fair battle or on auto resolve, even a very much smaller and weaker army in a fortress can destroy the attacking army when they try to assault, but without this, a player can just exploit the weaknesses in the ai and take the settlement with most of their army still alive.

not very fun for the defending faction

if only CA had put more thought into hotseat campaigns
"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...
