    http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/kakushin/
pretty fun game, played since 1

and its easy to extract character portraits from all koei games.

ppl from them sangou mod took portraits from this game's counterpart,
    Sangokushi X, also by koei

well, Orochi Warriors is made by koei also,
oda shares the same design, in all sengoku period games, and also with cao cao, they r like twins.

but this is a strategy game, unlike all the mouso beat them up style.

    Coolness!

I'll post some screens of Samurai Orientated Games
You, my friends can have the honor of telling me from which games the screens are (they are all for the PC, no console stuff here)
All can be clicked to enlarge

That last one is Warriors Orochi which is about 50% Samurai Warriors so I can cut some slack.

Warriors Orochi has SW and DW combined by some Snake demon named Orochi, it is made by Koei.

Man I remember finding Nobunagas Ambition II on HOTU years ago, and I was like, "this game is old as ", but then I played it anyway, and I was definately sold. Too bad I can't play it on my new computer.
It was classed as "abandonware" back then, don't know if it still is.

Anotherone that used to amuse me, also found on HOTU, was 'Sword of the samurai', actually made by Sid Meier. One of his lesser known masterpieces I guess, but that game is ancient.

I played 'Sword of the samurai'. It was a great game
I liked to sneak in a castle to steal an object or to kill an enemy, but when you were discovered by the guards, the alarm went on and the castle was like an antnest with soldiers running everywhere.
The graphics are no more appealing but a game like thet would be nice to be redone with new graphics.

This game is called Nobunaga's Ambition in english. There hasn't been one released in the united states until recently. Here is the link to the website: http://www.koei.com/risetopower/

    a preview of the game:

    http://ps2.ign.com/articles/840/840939p1.html

There are also 2 other Koei strategy games based on feudal Japan, Kessen 1 (based on the battle of sekigahara):

    http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/strategy...rgames;title;2

And Kessen 3 (based on Nobunaga's exploits):

Personally i like Kessen 1 more, even though Kessen 3 is newer.

I sincerely hope "Takeda 3" makes it over to us - played the first one and really liked it, the second one was just more of the same, so there's plenty of room for advancement...

Kaigenji nice one mate, you got them all

Yes I luv em Samurai Games too, at this moment I'm playing Way of The Samurai 2 (PS2 emu on PC) its very cool with many different moves for the Katana, and one of the coolest things is sheething(did I write it well?) your Katana,
I don't know why I like it so much but it just gives you the feel while your enemy bleeds to death on the ground, and you just stand there for 2 seconds and then sheeth your katana like some kind of superhero...hmmmm great

Btw in Germany again, so the replys will become lesser again
