Families are the same ones from vanilla and the ones added for the added factions by sb2ean. They have not been touched. Cracks are not allowed, and cause more problems than they're worth, so I just put the disc in the drive and play.

How accurate is the family tree? My geneaology is not one of my strong points. All the family tree you can put in at the start of the game in in the descr_strat.txt. After the first turn for new family members, it turns into a game because the ai picks them off the faction family name list.
History doesn't count after that.
