    Default Trees

    Hi.

Can anyone tell me how to revert to the vanilla trees in a mod that uses different ones? I'm playing EB and the tree models on the campaign map lag out my PC big time. I've tried getting the vanilla models back, but I've so far succeeded in only eradicating ALL the trees on the map, except for palm trees :hmmm:...

Can anyone help me with this?

EB uses only vanilla trees other than the palm trees they made. I think the reason your computer is lagging is probably the layout. go to Data\battlefield\vegetation you'll see layouts like forest_layout.tga palm_layout.tga and etc. I think EB made them more clustered together so replace them with the vanilla version.

You sure? Its the campaign map thats causing my lag, not the battlemap.

It's the huge amount of script that causes the EB strat map to lag; there's a minimod that removes large portions of the script and hence speeds up the game - you can find it on their forum.

Already got it installed. It fixes the AI turn speed alright, but not the drop in framerate I get on the stratmap.
