Asian themed M&B Mod?

Remember the old mod Ran no Jidai? That was pretty cool, are they still working on that?

Anyways, M&B seems to be lacking Asian themed mods, which dissapoints me. I like medieval Asia almost more then the medieval West. The styles and the weapons are especially cool. Another reason would be that I know so little about Asian history, historical inacuracies wouldn't bother me as much because I wouldn't know about them (ignorance is bliss). So are there any ones in production? (sorry, I only frequent TWC when it comes to forums, I am so addicted to this site and don't really have time for another forum). The Sengoku period in Japan seems perfect for M&B, and who can deny that Samurais aren't cool as ****?

Onin no Ran is the only one I know.

I'm not a big fan of that one because of the size of the map. It's WAY too big, you never encounter anyone and the cities all seem of no consequence.

I think it might be because there's a long way from the East to the West

The Chinese supposedly have a large community but we don't hear much about them (language barrier?).
Once in a while an amazing video can be seen on youtube though.
I only know of the Onin No Ran (for 0.903) and The Tripartition - The Dragon Awakes! (for 0.808) as mentioned.

I liked Onin No Ran, it gave me that "feel" not quite as much as Shogun TW did, but still it was pretty decent.

I have Onin No Ran for v.903, but for some reason everytime I'm done with the face creation and click launch game, it just says RGL error and crashes. Anyone else have that problem?

The mod is called Tripartition. It's a Chinese mod that was made a huge team of the M&B Chinese community. It has been released for v.808 and v.894, but you should wait until they upload the one for .894 to the Repository. So for now, check out the one for v.808 here:

Note: For some reason, v.808 can't coexist with v.960 (meaning there will be a laggy glitch in v.808, but can be fixed by uninstalling v.960). But, I'm not sure if that applies to anyone else or to any other version of M&B.

How big is the chinese community? We allmost never here from them.

I don't know the exact numbers, but it's pretty big. You rarely hear from them because they created their own Chinese M&B forum and usually hang out there. The Tripartition mod will be ported to v1.0.

Bless the chinese for suporting Armagan! I asume they make lots of mods? I hope they'll all end up in the repository, for the good of the M&B community over at TW.

Good to hear it will be poerted to 1.0 it's going to be a long wait tough.
