Final Preview for Kingdom of the Scots 3

Official Open Beta Release Date: Friday 01AUGUST2008.

This is the Final Preview before we go ahead and release the Open Beta on 01AUGUST. This Preview basically shows the complete work of the Bruce and his creative ability with the Factions Icons for the Campaign Map and also the Custom Battles. It also shows a selection of the Faction Banners that the user will see both on the battlefields of Britain and Ireland, but also on the Castle, Forts and Towns.

If you have been one of the patient people awaiting the release of Version 3, you will know we have spoken of this since 01JAN08, but this will now actually happen (8 months later) than we originally and enthusiastically announced. As this is an Open Beta there will still be areas which haven't been completed, but these will be completed as we move forward to the next version (Version 4) with the Large Map....also completed by The Bruce.

Anyway, that's enough of a rant for the time being. Please enjoy what we have prepared as the Final Preview.

The Open Beta will be released in 2 different formats:

1. For the Experienced User - Approx 300MB Download with only the Essential Files
2. For the Novice - Approx 1GB (in 2 parts) with all the files

Here are the Faction Icons (from left to right):

2. Clan MacDonald
3. Clan MacKenzie
4. Clan MacDougall
5. Clan MacLeod



Below are the Icons for the Custom Battles; you'll also notice the Strengths have been replaced by the Clan Motto or War Cry, and the weaknesses detail what the Faction lacks in either the military or political sphere of the game. Clan MacKenzie for example has a weakness in this screenshot as the motto (this has actually been fixed), it should actually state "It is hemmed in by the Norse, Clan MacDougall and Clan Comyn".

He means that under weakness he put the motto instead of their weakness
