Dragonlance - Background of the mod

In this thread I will tell you something about the background of the mod.

The mod "Dragonlance: Total War - Takhisis Rising" (DLTW) is based on the novels of Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

It starts in the year 1 after the Cataclysm (a.C.). The Cataclysm was a big event started by the gods of good, evil and neutral. The gods decided to punish the humans, elfs, dwarfs and all the creatures of Krynn for the self amorousness of the king priest on Istar. They threw burning mountains onto Krynn and changed the look of whole Krynn.

There were no nations existing any longer, instead of Istar the Blood Sea was born.

No law, no rights, but pure anarchy.

This is the point where you will enter the world. Choose one of the nations of this period of time and leed it to a glorious future.

You can choose between the elfs of Qualinesti or Silvanesti, Dwarfs, Minotaurs. You also can choose one of the human nations like Northern Ergod, Southern Ergod, Solamnia or Saifhum.

this sounds very cool. However I have to say GL as this is a lot of work to remain faithfull to the books. Especially the dragons and minatours would have to be works of absolute magic!

we are updating factoin-specific pages (as you can see), but we still have a few factions unposted, which will be going up in the next few days, please be patient while we finish getting everything put together and we can get you alot more information than what has been posted previously

seems like i missed replying to you, sorry about taking so long... the length of the mod has not been determined yet, but expect a turn cap of greater than 200... though victory probably wont take that long

it is, just with very few people working on it. If you know any experienced moddlers, we could certainly use their help

we are still around hope that people who have been following this mod for a while will bear with us for a little while longer, we are closing in on getting a beta release done (no schedule yet though...)
