The Russian vid looks fun as all hell though.

Haha, LARP videos always give me a good laugh. I've see that video many times. For some reason, it's not the guy yelling "LIGHTNING BOLT!" "LIGHTING BOLT!" that get's me, it's the girl clapping right before the vid ends, rofl.

Also, if the 2nd video is reenacting, not LARPING, what do they do for like...the Napoleonic Wars? Actually shoot each other? Is that the real reason why life expectancy is lower in Russia?

Poland is awesome for reenactments. Vivat Vasa in Gniew (mid august each year) is a great reenactment and the 400 year anniversary of the battle of Kluszyn was awesome.

I would assume people would use paintballs for re enacting the gunpowder era , no?

Thou can not load muskets with paintballs as far as my knowlege goes

No, modern kind of reenactment is in EE only in last 10-20 years as far as I know. Decades longer in WE. You could call some traditional events reenactments, though.

Like Sinjska Alka. . I suppose it qualifies as reenactment, with 18. century uniforms and folk costumes. Yearly event since 1715.
