Considering that winter campaigns were really rare in the middle ages, is there some way to make winter happen less often, say every fourth turn or so?

I recall in Europa Barbarorum..there are four turns per year, to simulate the 4 seasons! So winter would occur every fourth turn..but I guess some sort of script would have to be written for that..
