    Icon6 RELEASE Crimson Tide 3 (blood,sand,dirt,snow) - this is filthy

    CRIMSON-TIDE 3.0
    (medeival combat is just filthy)

    Features in 3.0
    -improved and revised blood, sand, snow, and dirt
    -updated descr_geography_new.db to be more compatible with the addition of snow to the game
    -the descr_geography_new.db includes lusted's battle map fixes.
    -blood is just a little bit cooler.

    Features for 2.5
    - Implemented SNOW and SAND overlay textures that are only applied when the soldiers are in that specific climate.
    - made the blood a little bit lighter
    -slightly altered the mud overlays so the second level is toned down a bit.

    NOTE: (if you are using a mod that alters the descr_geography_new.db, this will overwrite it, I used that file in order to specify when to use the different textures for the different climates, it is a relativley simple adjustment that I had made so if you would like me to make CRIMSON TIDE compatible with a mod that uses the descr_geography_new.db
    please PM me with your file and I will make the adjustments.


    Features for 2.0
    - Completley redone Hi-Res Textures, so you can see the drips and splats alot better
    - Dirt and blood no longer has that 'pixelated effect' on the previous version.
    - The rate at which soldiers get dirty has been altered so at the start of combat they are releteviley clean, while further in to battle the muck and blood starts to cake on.
    Note: (Soldiers riding horses appear to get a little dirtier than soldiers on the ground, not sure why the game does this but I havn't managed to change it)
    - redone the graphics and physics for the blood spurts when a soldier is hit by
    an arrow.


    Features 1.0 :

    -All new blood and dirt textures for your grim pleasure.
    -The blood is a deeper, richer red color that will make your cringe.
    -Blood and dirt now appear to splatter and drip off of the soldiers.
    -Mud and dirt will muck up your soldier's boots, shields and helmets.
    -Completley compatible with every mod (almost)


    Installation:
    simply drop all the included files into the /data folder of the mod of your choice and let it overwrite!

    Awesome!!!! I love blood!!! Do you make the blood sprays any better? Like when guys get hit by arrows.

    Wow, it is so brutal it looks so good. Damn some of the woud effects on the face's.

    A phenomenal release that is an absolute must fior all those that seek to delve deeper into the more visceral aspects of the art of war,simply amazing detail.I look forward to your further works in the field of deeper and richer aesthetic experiences for Medieval 2 and all of its myriad incarnations.

    Pictures look very nice. But I have tried this submod and no effect. I couldnīt see any changes. I play DLV 5.6 mod. I put the file to DLVext/data folder. But as I said, no notice any blood or mud.

    absolutley I am releasing the new version today the files will be in a folder called overlay textures, if you drop the folder into the data folder of the mod of your choice they will overwrite the the previous textures files and you will have blood. =)

    Hmm. I have downloaded the new version and copied to the DLVext/data directory, but I canīt still see any changes. No blood, no mud :hmmm:

    you have to make sure that all of the files in "overlaytextures" go to "data/overlaytextures" in your mod's folder, then the files in "models_effects/textures" go into "data/models_effects/textures" and then the descr_effects_impact.txt just goes into "yourmod/data/ - " as well as descr_geography_new.db, if you have any questions please let me know.

    Of course I copied all of the files to DLVext/ data folder. I rewrote all the folders and files /folders overlay textures, model _effects and files descr_effect_impacts and descr_geography_new/ but no change. And maybe this is not save compatible. But that is unlikely I think :hmmm:

    Edit: I have tried custom battle. But no blood, no mud. Hmmm. Is it not, because I use shaders 1 and this is for shaders 2 only maybe??
    Edit 2 : Yes it is. This nice stuff is only for shaders 2.
