    Ok, this is dumb but, for this next version of XC coming up, I want to make one small change for my own use. I want to give my GCS the Amazon chariot unit. I want GIRL hoplites ! I know there are modding guides, but is there anything in particular I should know as regards tweaking this mod ? XC is the only RTW mod I use, or will use. As far as I'm concerned, XC IS RTW.
    Should I simply not do that ?

    Adding units does not require anything fundamentally different than other mods.
    Just copy the DMB and EDU entries from vanilla plus you will need to make a new EDB one for the recruitment part.

    You also may want to modify the EDU entry to balance the chariots, there is a guide to the balancing system at the file start.

    You have AOR HA, AFAIK only in the east though.
    recruit "merc horse archers" 0 requires factions { barbarian, carthaginian, eastern, egyptian, greek, roman, } and hidden_resource steppe_east
    I looked through the EDB and there are no scythian HA AOR for Thrace.

    In the latest test buil it's possible to recruit scythian HA in Sarmizegetusa and Buridava. The tricky part is that you have to go for client kingdom, but then you get only the HA unit and the light scythian cavalry.... I think that in those two regions and probably Tomy - the HA should be part of the regular roster. It's called Micra Scythia for a reason

    Ah thats why, I generally don't build client kingdoms unless its crete or rhodes or something like that.

    We're considering a getic HA unit but it's not done yet... In the meantime you can still get some at Niss... err, Micra Scythia
