Hey all, I've been a civitate now for about 2 months and I was wondering, what do I have to do to become somebody's patron. I have my eye on a member who gives very intelligent, well thought out posts and I think he'd be a great addition. So what do he and I have to do?

Thanks for your patience in dealing with a civitate-newb if you will...

PM me, Sib, or NM with his info, a paragraph written by him as to why HE wants to become a civitate, and some of his better posts. so long as he meets the requirements for civitateship, we'll vote accordingly.

BTW what is the minimum requirement of being a patron these days. As I understand it we don´t have the patricians anymore.

    Just curious.

I think you have to be a civitate for 2 months to patronize.

The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

Well that hardly requires an official amendment, just some clarification.

Don't take me too seriously *wink* . The ammendment incudes more than just a clarification but I maintain a clear Syntagma is an essential to avoid the many posts that ask for clarification.

    Syntagma:
Any Civitate that remain in good standing with no warnings after 2 months tenure can be automatically promoted to the rank of Patrician. ( The post count requisite for Patrician is hereby removed)
    ...
They are the only non-Curators class that can patronize Civitates, ...
This is one of many threads indicating some confusion with the present Syntagma.

I know... not much of a constitution person... I'm more practical.

I tend to memorize this stuff.... I guess my memorization isn't as good as I thought it was.

    *goes back to re-read Syntagma*

    Damnit.

P.S.- hey... at least I fixed the :lol "lol" smilie issue.
