the retrofit mod is for kingdoms and puts all the new features of kingdoms into the normal grand campaign. If you have kingdoms or are planning to get it I highly recommend this mod. the mod does a very good job of tweaking the quality of the AI over vanilla for both campaign map and battle map

I also suggest that if you end up getting the retrofit mod then you should try the grand unit-addon mod that puts most of the kingdoms units into the normal campaign or the custom campaign mod which offers several new campaign maps to play on.

Very new here. Having some problems making the retrofit mod work. I constantly see this error, "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit." Someone mind helping me out?

    1) do you have the game fully patched?
    2) are u installing the retrofit mod files in the right directory?
    3) are you using any other mods?

You can also try the "Grand Campaign" mod were all of the campaigns from kingdoms are combined into one grand map.

    1) I'm not sure, I simply let the installation run itself.
    2) Again, no clue. I'm very new to modding TW games.
    3) I've uploaded the data from the King's Banner mod.

In short, I'm probably doing everything the wrong way. Seriously inexperienced with this and even worse at computer and tech savvy.

Ex Tenebris Lux - Yes, you can have them both installed, however they start up differently, somewhat like Crusades and Britannia.
SwordSaint 11 - Are you saying that you installed King's Banner 3 on top of Retrofit? That's a no go. You need to do a bit more work to get the two fully compatible.

Maybe the King's Banner mod is interfering in some way with the Retrofit mod...hmm..
    1) Uninstall everything then reinstall a clean version again.
    2) If the problem persists, just send me a PM and I'll walk you through it!
    3) Good luck!!
