Why did you delete your sig Counter? If only had done something other than mapping. Maybe scripting... and my 2d is useless...

I don't know what the issue is with having region specific training. They did this for the Rome Total War Lord of the Rings mod and I thought it was a great idea. It not only added a challenge but also made the races more unique, because the Orc races could train troops practically anywhere.
It just seems like it would dumb the game down incredibly if you could train Mumakils (SP?) from the Shire, not only dumb it down but just take you out of the feel of the game. Unless Bilbo had to walk past the Mumakil pit on his way out of Bag End .
If only there was a way you could have it so you could retrain units in any city/castle, but not recruit new units. It doesn't seem that implausible in real life. Riders of Rohan in (insert not Rohan city here with no access to horses), if it were real life, could probably just bring the horses of the deceased men and give them to peasants who they could muster to help them. Seemed like they did this anyway, saving the horses that is, as they gave them to Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli.
Although whatever the modders end up going with I'm still going to get this mod, just saying what I would prefer in the long run.
