    September-UPDATE!!!!!!
    I am back and the first preview (the black guard spearman) shall be revealed shortly!


    A mod for real recruitment


    The purpose of this mod is to revamp the moors to be as they should be depicted:
    A faction that favors-
    crossbows
    light calvary (missile and non)
    spears

    The vanilla roster tried to achieve this, but in my opinion, and others, all they did was make the moors suck.

    This mod aims to create a more flavorful and unique Muslim faction without the redundancy of light spears and other useless units.

    Changes:
    -dismounted arab calvary are now Black Guard spearmen (Elite and agile spearmen from Africa).

    -sudanese javelinmen are now Granadine Crossbowmen (These soldiers are well-trained in the devastating art of the crossbow.)

    -berber spearmen are now Al-Anduris infantry (Armed with spears these troops, equipped in fine armor of their own payment and well trained, are far superior to their christian militia counterparts.)

    -Granadine jinettes and mounted crossbows were adjusted to superior quality, their stats were adjusted accordingly.

    -Granadine mounted crossbows and lancers were give fast horses

    -Granadine lancers stats were adjusted slightly, the unit is now intended to reflect the moorish abandonment of european tactics for their more arabic heritage. It is now a powerful light calvary unit in line with the demi-lancer rather than a glorified mailed knight.

    -camel archers have been added to the roster

    -Lamtuna spearmen have been given a slight armor adjustment and moved down the tech tree



    Slight egypt adjustment-
    dismounted arab calvary now sudanese tribesmen (their quality has been improved)

    I just wanted to get this out there to get some feedback. My main goal is to do a complete overhaul of the moors, but you have to start somewhere .

    EDIT : One thing : You should add a folder structure, so that people just have to drag the folder into their Stainless Steel folder. Many of them don't know where to put which file, so it'll be difficult for them to install this mod.

    as for the skins, they are all rehashed...for now-

    al anduris infantry shares skin with the andalasian infantry
    black guard spearmen are max armor upgrade arab dismounted cav
    granadine crossbowmen are max armor upgrade crossbow militia

    If anybody want to make mod for SS 6.1 with new Moors, Turks or Egipt, best variant (imho) - units(models and textures from BC. If BC team will be agree.

    The BC Team does NOT give out permission for such things...
    I think we have to make our own skins..

    most definitely should be.

    I think I am still going to work on clogging out some skins though. I really dont like how the moors look and prefer if they had a more granadine style.

    sorry but where can I find "events.dat and events idx" because I got ctd when I go in a battle.

    PS:I didn't overwrite the descr_units and the descr_buildings because they'rfe modded.Maybe thats due to this?
    What do you think?

    ok I found them , for who doesn't know where is it , it's in the data/sounds folder.That didn't resolve my problem , any solutions?
