Fortuna Orbis Beta is released!
Why not go for the complete package and get Alexander as well. There are a few mods that use its EXE.
And which is the "complete package"?
It's the Rome TW Anthology Florin. Not a bad price from Amazon either.
I know, but do you actually have the anthology pack and have tried it yourself? I personally had this issue with it:

No, I've not tried it, I have the Eras set myself, but from what you've described it sounds horrendous. It's outrageous that CA have put such a shoddy package together! It seems to be indicative of the cavalier attitude they seem to be adopting towards their fans these days.

Just get Eras. It's only $20 USD new. I think I picked it up for $15 USD. It's got RTW, BI, ALX fully patched. Plus Medieval and Shogun!
Yeah, Eras is well worth the money. The CD of the music is a gem. It was amazing to hear the soundtracks in such High Fidelity on my Hi-FI. Eras is TW at its best.
My simple RTW 3 disk version and BI single disk version work perfectly fine too
Hehe - I still have my Day 1 release RTW 1.0 three CD disc set too.
I'm sorry if I am bumping an old thread for the wrong reason, but it felt like this post belongs here.
I have always played a (lot!) of RTR in the past and only recently noticed the latest RTR release.
Currently I have RTR PE 1.9 installed and in the options screen it says version 1.5 of RTW. I installed this in 2007 or something. I think this installation is w/o BI.
My question is, if I would install the latest RTR version with BI and the most recent RTW patch, would I still be able to continue old campaigns from my previous installation? I do have the RTR PE game in a different folder than my vanilla RTW (unused). I fear that when installing/updating RTW for the RTR FOE, I'll loose the ability to continue my old RTR PE save games.
Any help will be appreciated!
Don't worry about posting here
Both campaigns are modfoldered, which means they install in seperate folders and do not affect each other. So if you should feel the desire to go back to PE, you can do so

Fortuna Orbis Beta is released!
Thanks for the quick answer!
I'll try that as soon as I can this weekend.
rome total war just recently came out for mac. Do you think you will be making RTR for the mac version as well.
As almost nobody of the team has a mac, I'm afraid we won't. There seem to be compability problems with mac, but the Eras Technical Help section of these forums should be able to tell you how to cope with them.

Welcome to the RTR forums on TWC, TheIsticol.
Glad you like our mod - nice image by the way.
When the whole FOE campaign will be over so we can play with all factions not only from western mediteran?

Hello.
The next mod in the RTR series after FOE is called RTR VII, which is currently being developed. You can check out the previews for it here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=381741
Just scroll down to the Rome Total Realism VII category. RTRVII will cover a much greater geographical area than FOE, but not as much as vanilla RTW did. However, the size of the map itself is much bigger.
