Its basically a multiplayer campaign, someone takes their turn and uploads it onto this forum for the next player and so on.
You cannot join halfway through a game, however there is a vacancy in one of the games as Turkey, if you have the requirements you can join, however you will need to do your turns quickly and not slow the game down which requires you to check this site a lot. You need SS 6.0 installed (not 6.1 it wont work) and also need to edit a file, which I will explain later.
so you update the game, on the forum? playing from the forum?
basically, you do ur turn then continue it normally. When you end ur turn it will come up with the next players screen (ie asking for password). We save it then and upload it to the forum for the next player.
YATS - Quintus Licinius Cato [31], Plebeian Senator
there is no online method, you can't both play at the same time. CA have made it so that one has to have their turn on their computer, then upload the saved game on a forum or through email so the other player can have his/her turn. This player then uses his/her password to be able to have his/her turn.
The only problem is that since you are not playing while the other player is then if he attacks the AI defends for you. Which means you will probably loose the battle, same if rebels attack.
Hopefully they can fix this in Empires but for now its the best we have

Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all..."we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
