Fatal CTD at same point in campaign

Playing as england using 6.1 SS, BYG3 and RR.

Am trying to take the Moorish city of Oran, every time i take the city the games crashes to a black-screen which requires a reboot to get out of (cannot return to desktop or launch prog manager etc)

what files do i need to provide and from where to get some help with this issue?

Actually it turns out that this is the last city of the Moors - whenever the faction is destroyed the game crashes.

so i've had to make them my vassals to continue... problem is that if they declare war on anybody i have to support them or, if the are destroyed, the game crashes fatally.

Anbar early era or late era campaign?

(I've played both, 1 as England, 1 as France and have destroyed the Moors each time. No CTDs.)
