Welcome to my celtic skin pack 2005 version1

I changed some of the artwork of my first Briton and Gaul skins included some new skins and also provide you with two new flags.
    .................................................................

    This time dear folk,
i will confront you again with options to some of the gaul skins.

The gaul shields are round and in the future you will get new cas files from me for the celtics with longshields....but that is another story.

I used for some of the shields pieces of celtic bronze shields to give them the spirit of celtic artistry and symbolism.
But to let them all run around with heavy round bronze shields is not very natural. They look very nice and i dont want to remove them completly but i have recreated handpainted versions of those shields as "paint on leather" shields, without destroying the primal concepts of the ancient artists and made therefore for some skins, two variations.

Now you can chose which version of a skin fits your personal taste and you have the option of choice.
you will find two folders after installing and one holds the second version skins.

To let you all see the provided list to help you installing them, i also post it here:

Sometimes there is a delay between the time they finish uploading and the time they show up in the downloads section.

I spend some good work hours to made the generals / chieftains unique characters, compared to other units with the same model.

Three, gaulic swordman and longshield warriors and gaul warguard under the boar of war in crimson red.
Handpainted motivs on rough leather, you will see there are no metal rims on the shields which is much more natural.

    Hey webbird,

you made new banners for the britons and the gausl,

can you also make a new banner for the strategy map and for the faction selection in the campain menu? And what RBG code do you use for those two banners? I need it for the minimap. See attachment

Figure out how to model a new sprite.

Look in the descr_model_battle file in your \data folder and find the line that refers to model_sprite, as below:

    type warband_sword_gaul
    skeleton fs_swordsman
    indiv_range 40
    texture gauls, data/models_unit/textures/unit_barb_warband_gauli_.tga
    model_flexi_m data/models_unit/unit_barb_warband_gaul_sword_high.cas, 8
    model_flexi_m data/models_unit/unit_barb_warband_gaul_sword_med.cas, 15
    model_flexi data/models_unit/unit_barb_warband_gaul_sword_low.cas, 30
    model_flexi data/models_unit/unit_barb_warband_gaul_sword_lowest.cas, max
    model_sprite 60.0, data/sprites/warband_sword_gaul_sprite.spr
    ;model_sprite britons, 60.0, data/sprites/britons_warband_sword_gaul_sprite.spr
    model_tri 400, 0.5f, 0.5f, 0.5f

make sure that the semicolon is in front, as above.... repeat and rinse for all units you change. Works for me anyway, but you will notice a performance hit if your PC is a bit older (I notice none myself) :grin

WEBBIRD!!! Those skins are incredible - thanks for providing them to the community!!

Some people also report that doing this causes the units "disappear" when viewed at a distance. Personally, I've never had that problem.
