For anyone who is interested in some new maps for ss6.1. , I have added 5 new maps for custom battles. They have been tested on 1 vs 1 setups.

to install

copy the custom_locations file into your data folder

copy the tga files into your Medieval II Total
War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data\menu\battlefield_pics folder

backup your custom_locations file if you want to revert back.

Sure

dark forest - terrain is mostly forest, disadvantage for cavalry




open steppes, with rolling hills - eastern europe




large meadow with trees around the perimeter where inf can hide




scottish highlands - disadvantage to cav, lots of hilly and mountainous area




the plains of spain - fighting under the shadow of a mountain, not too far from the shoreline




I hope to add more maps of unique spots on the map.

the same tga file is used for most of the new maps -- not an accurate representation of the actual map. My tga converter seems to not be working. The maps are fine though.
