    Default Berlin

Ok well this is adressed to anyone who knows Berlin well, some friends and I are looking for a Hotel in Berlin, more precisely the Kurfurstendamm strasse, we were wondering if it is far from the city center and if it is a good neighborhood, also we would like to know if there are any good hotels there or if anyone has had a good experience at a hotel over there, also we would like to be pretty close to the nightlife.

Dont go to berlin, its the most disappointing Capital you will ever get to. Everything looks the Same, even the Immigrant kids are not as bad as they always say, i awaited them to beat up the fat germans in my class, but they didnt even appear

What's wrong with it? I mean, it's pretty sprawling, and I'm not it's greatest fan, but there are a lot of excellent things to see in Berlin, from museums to Unter den Linden to the Reichstag building.

The Kurfürstendamm is 6 km long, so there will be plenty of hotels...

Depends on what kind of city you're looking for. If you want a modern city go to Berlina, but if you fancy are more classical city you should probably go to Vienna.

Berlin would be a nice city to live in, but not all that great for travelers, unless you have money to spend on clothes and shoes.

Well I'm doing a summer job in july, about 3000 CHF + like a couple hundred francs from my parents, so I'm up for a week of partying, a few visits and shopping.
I think that I'm staying near Olivaer platz on Ku'damm.

It depends what you want to do and see. They're both beautiful cities.

And how is the night life?
I'm sixteen,so should it be too difficult to get into night clubs and bars?

If you're still looking for a hotel on the Kurfurstendamm Strasse, go to this site.

    http://www.frommers.com/destinations/berlin

I used it to plan my trip to Germany and Austria this summer. It is quite helpful. Easy to use site. Hope it helps you as much as it did me.

You only need to be 16 to get beer from the bar (at least in Vienna) though if you want liquor you'll have to be 18 (though that wasn't a problem for me in Vienna).

Ok perfect because this is going to be more of a partying holiday than anything else, anyway here is the same in Switzerland, 16 for beer, wine, champagne and cigarettes.
    18 for distilled alcohols.

If you're going to Vienna be sure to visit... the Bermuda Triangle.
Yes, there's actually an area named that.

And if you're in Vienna, you have to go and visit the Wine Bars just outside of town. It's cheap and it's tasty

Actual night life is hard to be a part of when you're 16, as you're only allowed access to Discos up to 00:00 then.
Of course, if you don't plan to attend these, it should be easy.

You can always waste yourself with beer, and compared to "some other states" that's ridiculously cheap in Germany.
Would be stupid though. Simply wait 'til you're all 18 and then visit Berlin. Much more effective if you want to partake in night life.
