I'm going to some god-forsaken Ionian island no-one has ever heard of. Any travel advice, useful greek phrases or local customs I should be aware of?
EDIT: Isn't 'Travelers' spelt with two ls? Travellers?

Don't know. The main town's called Nidri
That's Lefkada. Nice island, not much nightlife though (mostly in Lefkada, the main city). It has some amazing beaches. The south beaches are mostly calm and the north ones with a lot of big waves. Porto Katsiki is the best beach but its usually crowded. Vasiliki is good for windsurfind if your are into this kind of stuff. It was the first inhabited island on the Ionian so it has a few archaelogical sites. It is also a mountainous island with many villages on the mountains and you cand find some quite good taverns there.
Hope it helped.
