    Icon14 Mount&Blade version 0.952 - not just bug fix - but new features

    Well it seems that the 0.952 isn't just fixing some bugs, but a few things have been changed - so I thought it deserved it's own thread.

    Most noticeable are perhaps the new mercenary troop trees:
    Caravan Guard -> Mercenary swordsman -> Hired Blade(infantry.)
    ----------------> Mercenary Horseman (lvl20, medium armour.)

    Hired blades are no longer badass horsemen, but infantry.

    SAVE AS! A new option to (easily) have several save-games with the same character.

    Some towns have been moved.

    Tempered weapons: Seemingly of an even higher grade than the balanced.

    And probably even more changes...

    If you haven't updated yet, you should enter your last savegame for v.951, sell all your equiptment to a merchant, go to the "character" screen, go to "statistics" and click "export".

    Then you should update, start a new game, go to "character", go to "statistics" and click "import".

    Exporting your character will save your character's skills, level, and money. Unfortunately it doesn't save your party, your face, or your equiptment.

    Prices have also changed a lot. Things are more expensive.
    I haven't played enough yet, to see if trade is more balanced now,
    but I suppose that's the reason...

    WOOOOOHOOOOO! This one runs smoother to.

    Ah, I didn't know that. I'll do that in a few days I think.

    Something to add to the list of changes:

    NPC's now appear to move in packs. That is you can find multiple NPC's waiting to join your party in the tavern now instead of the loners from previous versions.

    The campaign AI seems a little more fluid too. I noticed more cohesive war parties and that seemed to have a purpose to their movements, although this is at first glance. I just start playing this version yesterday. I like it

    I've noticed this in towns when hunting murderers. I don't think it quite ready for primetime. They wander all together and stop. The routines seem to be messed up a bit. I could not find that "nervous man" anywhere too.

    I do like that Hero's are easier to find!

    I noticed the kidnapped girl is still messed up. I was able to complete the quest, but the in game log you see when traveling was screaming ERROR: invalid party or something. Then it crashed a bit later.

    Save her at your own risk!

    Now I got the rep

    Anyway, I'm experiencing a lot of bugs - to the point where it's intolerable.
    I even had a crash.
    Tip: Don't rescue the kidnapped girl!

    I've got M&B on the other pc, anyone knows how I can get the code so I can install it here as well? can I look it up in program files?

    never mind, found it, and am playing again, after a long time.

    Fine. Not a single CTD until now, contrary to 0.950 and 0.951.

    I don't know the arena is driving me crazy, the arena exclusive heroes are all bald, and it keeps spawning contestants outside the arena so there is no way to win some fights. This is very annoying as the arena is my basis for my early game of earning renown and money.
