Would anyone be able to implement a correct list of the starting characters for the Irish faction.
Firstly, the dynasty name of the Irish faction at this stage would have been Ua Briain (Ní Bhriain for women, if that is at all implementable). They were the faction that dominated the Irish high-kingship and the south of Ireland at this period.
Faction Leader:
Toirdhealbhach Ua Briain, (to replace Brian O'Connor) who was at least 60 when the mod starts, and quite possibly older. He assumed the kingship of Munster from his uncle, who he exiled to Rome, in 1055, and after forcing Leinster into submission in the 1070s he acceeded to the High-Kingship, had had at least, the nominal submission of the Northern Dynasties. Since 1072, as part of suppressing the independent power of Leinster, he took the city of Dublin and made himself king. In 1074, he made his tánaiste, Muircheartach, King of Dublin, possibly hoping to provide him with the resources necessary to allow him to succeed the High-Kingship on his death.
He seems to have provided support, as had the previous Irish king of Dublin and Leinster, Diarmuid Mac Maíl na mBó, to exiled welsh princes from Gwynedd and Deheubarth, and may have attracted the ire of William the Conquerer of whom it was said wished to conquer Ireland with his bare hands. He was also in communication with Pope Gregory VII, and with Lanfranc, Archbishop of Canterbury, on the subject of Irish church reform.
Faction Heir:
Muircheartach Ua Briain, Toirdhealbhach's designated heir, and it appears, lieutenant in the field. He held the kingship of Dublin at this stage. And historically was to succeed his father and become very active in Welsh politics in relation to Gwynedd, Deheubarth, and supported the marcher Lord rebellion under the Montgomeries. This lead to a diplomatic conflict with William Rufus, and Henry I. Wasn't as successful in implementing his authority in the North however, yet he was too in communication with Anselm, and began the process of Irish church reform with the synod of Caiseal in 1101.
General:
Donnchadh Mac Domnall Remair, one of the Osraighe, and claimant to the kingship of Leinster.
This would mean given the Irish faction Dublin (for the sake of historical accuracy), and making Galway rebel though.
