atleast 2 legions can be reqruted from cisalpine gaul and they are well affordable theas legions could cross the alps and strike an knife in the gauls back.

I would also like to guive a mini report on cisalpine gaul:
patavinium is on the brink of disaster and I have begun expanding the goverment there but population growth is among the higest in the republic here and it will be a long time till it stabalises.
melodanium is in rebellion it's garrison is withered and will not stand too much more rioting, In short we could loose it.
