From the top of my head, settlements that start without walls will be

Skara, Warberg, Kalmar and Visby in Scandinavia
Revel, Riga, Helsinki (has a different name in game) on the Baltics
Cork, Carrickwhatwasthename and the southern Welsh one on the British Isles
    plus a couple in Russia

Basically all settlements where no proper town existed in 1080.

Yes, for 0.8 all M2TW vanilla units have been replaced; save for the Moors, but also for them we have swapped around everything and made a new set-up with all kind of "eastern" units available.

    Default Post your empires

Here you can post you empires, it's good to know how the AI is expanding.

So here is my Venetian campaign (H/H):

Woot and I thought we still need to pack more challenge on VH/VH, for people to even consider lesser difficulty setting..
    Nice screenies anyway

Yeah, I wanted to roleplay a lot so I chose Hard/Hard. It has been rather easy...

Maybe I will post some screens of a VH/VH Scotland campaign soon

ui, 12 provinces in some 80 turns. Had you been in a hurry

Anyways, good initiative! If you like post screens of the radar maps (open console and type: toggle_fog) from your campaigns in regular intervals, say for each five years. This can indeed help us figuring problems for the AI.

    Sweet.

We really need to fix the Ui-cards.

Concerning the ransom, this is something that is giving me headaches too because the AI usually is to broken to pay larger ransoms. May be there is a way by scripting it additional money after a battle lost (and take that away at the end of the turn)?

well that ransom was more than half of what i had altogether and i am #1 in finances so i can understand their problem being able to afford it. maybe a diplomatic seizure for their closest territory along with all their money.

Weather, BTW has seriously improved: I have reduced the chance of rainy days. Even when the deployment starts in bad weather you should in most occasion (not always) get good weather when hitting "wait".

nice, my comp does ok on battles with a relatively high graphics setting but rain does make it lag a bit

Did you lose a couple of cities meanwhile? You have a Margrave of Austria, a Landgrave of Thuringia and a member of the House of Burgundy despite not holding one of the required provinces.

Thuringia & Burgundy are from marriages and with my role playing the emperor marched five armies into the HRE to help ally Austria reclaim lost territory. However soon after taking Wein, Sicily decided to cast off the yoke of vassal-dom. Austria sided with Sicily so I gifted Wein to Burgundy and sent my Legions to subjugate Lower Italy.

So... I cannot get the english crown as edgar, and i'm slightly confused. Is it if the entirety of the english faction is destroyed, or is it just if the faction leader of england dies?
