Looks like good
I have slipped up somewhat concerning the Obotrite bodyguard unit. In the picture above they appear carrying an axe in one hand without a shield. Please download the soon-to-be-released hotfix which will correct them into the two-handed axe wielding tanks they were originally intended to be.
You have to fight a long and hard camapign to find out...

Well my fraps messed up apparently and I didn't get any shots besides this one. Oh well. It's good to be the Bishop of Olmutz. I'll admit I rushed the AI, the thought of more powerful Obotrites scared me hehe.. I'll see where this goes though, I'm looking forward to an epic battle with my fellow HRE states someday!
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Now you just need to become Emperor, fuzz .
MARVEL at the glorious might of my mighty Saxon Empire in all its mighty might

Yes, that's right. Not only is mighty Duke Helmut Holy Roman Emperor (for the 4th generation running), he also owns Prussia, Livonia, most of Sweden and a tasty chunk of the Holy Land. He also took a slice of Italy on his way to visit the Pope
A closer view of Helmut's wondrous Baltic Empire:

All in all, quite a successful little campaign at the moment 9 Cardinals mean I decide who gets to be Pope, plus all the other Germans like me and the Poles are scared of me. Also, the only major war I've had to fight so far was against the obotrites (which lasted about 20-30 turns!!!)
Those Danes are asking for trouble, though....
Impressive!
I hope the Obotrites were a challenge. If not, we definitly need to make them stronger. What's the difficulty setting of your campaign if I may ask?
Cheers!

Hell those obos were horrific. They beat me a couple of times, and when I won it was always close. Thats why the war took so long. But it was FUN You definitely don't need to make them tougher, although they could do with some more unique units and buildings maybe to make them feel extra different
My campaign is on medium I think. I only ever play on medium or hard.
Thanks for the info. It's good they were a challenge.
It also seems that overall campaign balance is ok, as far as I can tell from your pics.
Cheers!

Yeah the campaign balance is very impressive considering this is just verson 0.6 - most mods have wildly unbalanced campaigns at this point. Well done on that The only thing I noticed on my other campaigns was that the Byzantines and Turks (especially the Byzies) seem a little underpowered and inactive, but I mentioned that on the Byz faction thread...
The Byzantines are designed to be somewhat inactive. Otherwise they would be much too powerful. The Turks: It's strange - for reason not clear to me, the are always either totally inactive or very agressive. I'd prefer if they'd be the latter. Conquering the Levante is much too easy atm.

I agree - could you maybe give the Turks a province in the Levant to get them started in that direction? Or an army parked next to Antioch/Edessa?
well that wasn't very sporting of you
I foolishly didn't attack them straight away. I thought they were looking east so I was happily preparing to invade Utrecht when they attacked Denmark and I saw an opportunity. (As it was I didn't end up taking Utrecht until about 30 turns later )
Attacking before turn ten can almost be considered cheating. Now that was neither challenge nor fun I guess.
Cheers!

Out of interest, Dimitri, why is the threshold turn 10? Does something happen then, or is it just a vague time to allow the AI to build up a bit?
It's just a vague time. And in addition, the AI starts it's first attacks ~ between turn 8 and 12.
Cheers!
