    Default Ghost Helmets Fix - needs adapting for SS 6.1

    As spotted by GODzilla in bug section, here is a great fix that solve the "ghost" neck bug that some units (mainly late era dismounted knights) have:

    i tried to import the files directly in SS 6.1 and it works, but some units got messed up textures...can someone have a look at it...i'm not good in modding...

    Yeah I heard of that mod and it would be really great, if it could be made 6.1 compatible..cuz no necks really kinda ruins some great looking units!

    So modelers..press on!

    don't know in 6.0....in 6.1 it makes its effects but messed up some unit textures...needs some fix

    LOL...and I started to believe that I'm the only one who spotted the "ghost helmets".

    Though it still seems only we few "graphic whores" are interested in a fix.

    Yes it does mess up some SS6 models because KK used a few different models for some units, I've found at least one so far, English Knights, since KK used a different model for the non upgraded unit

    I just pasted in the vanilla entries since the fixed models are based on vanilla.

    Ghosts helmet fix in that link totally work with SS 6.0/6.1! Actually you don't put it into SS folder at all! Instead, put it in vanilla medieval2 data folder and most(if not all) ghost helmet units in SS will be fixed!

    It's because SS draws all that units with ghost helmets from vanilla models, and just applies SS textures on them!

    And putting them in M2 data folder instead of SS data folder, won't mess any unit textures! I just discovered it a few days ago and wow, what a revelation!

    I was just re-installing M2TW and realized I deleted the ghost-helmet fix file on my computer. Now filefront deleted the download...

    Oy.
