Thread: Maximum Unit Size Modification

    Default Maximum Unit Size Modification

    Increased Unit Sizes: Max number of soldiers in each unit, keeping KK's ratio intact. Example: Spearmen before = 151 per unit, Spearmen now = 251, Cavalry before = 61, Cavalry now = 101...

    Two versions: SS6.1, SSTB(w/ RAJ)





    Compatible only with: 6.1

    Install: Replace file in Stainless Steel/ Data folder

    -All this modification does is change the number of soldiers in each unit, nothing else.

    -Save game compatible. If installing this mid-game, retrain soon cuz the AI will...

    For Stainless Steel Total Combat (SSTB)

    Compatible only with: 6.1 + SSTB 1.2 (+ hotfix for 6.1, Using RAJ)

    Holy cow dude excellent ! Re your last post, I have everything going besides the RAJ. Can I use this file without screwing things up?

    Acctully 300 is the max unit size.

    I assume this mod is made from the file that incorporates RAJ, at least in part.

    I think it increased, but havent got it to work, so Ill ask around.

    Yeh, 5000 soldiers that look alike would be wierd.

    Not sure what caused it, but everything charges into battle really wierd, like they let eachother go in 1 by 1 and eventually the charge stops and 5 units have touched the enemy lines.. :\

    Need to tweak kings purse or something , these monster units are sending me broke!

    That is not the result of this modification. AI behavior has always been a bit buggy from time to time.

    So the unit size is increased but you still only pay for 150 units?

    Hitman I'm pretty sure upkeep is dramatically increased with the larger units. Recruiting costs are the same as "150".

    Don't you get in trouble placing units on walls this way? There are wall sections (on wooden walls) where I can't even put a 150 size unit.

    I think the upkeep cost is the same for bigger unit sizes, but if you retrain a unit midgame, the cost will increase too. (If you started a campaign with the old unit numbers.)

    How does this mod work with sieging? I know attacking a city or castle gets really crowded even with huge armies. In a open field the mod is great though.

    I agree, the cities/castles are very cluttered. Only if you could garrison into buildings and fight in back yards full of dead people sigh.
